This privacy and cookie policy describes how the Dutch Centre handles the personal data that it collects from its customers and donors and other relations via this website and other channels.

Legal basis

The Dutch Centre is a charity under UK law and registered with the Companies House. The basis for this policy is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Dutch Centre websites use so-called cookies. A cookie is a file that can be sent along when consulting the website and can be stored on your computer. If you consult the same website again later, that cookie can be used. We use the following types of cookies:

Marketing Cookies are currently NOT used by the Dutch Centre but implemented for possible future use. The Dutch Centre does NOT share your personal data with any third parties and this setting has been disabled by default for your website session.

Personal Data
When using our website, you leave behind data, including personal data. We store and use this data exclusively for the purposes described in this privacy and cookie policy. We store and use only data that is provided directly by the users of the website and the data that is clearly provided for processing when provided.

Personal data is collected in the following places on our website.

General use of the website
In this case, if you accept cookies, cookies are used in accordance with the cookie policy described above.
Newsletter
You can register for our newsletter via our website. We ask you for your first and last name, and your email address. We do this because we use this information to send you the newsletter and also to be able to process a unsubscribe correctly. Because people sometimes unsubscribe from the newsletter via a different email address than the email address where they receive the newsletter, we ask for your name in addition to the email address. This makes it easier to process a cancellation or a change of email address.
We send our newsletter via the Email marketing service provider Brevo. In this case, we are bound by the methods and conditions that Brevo uses.
Contact form
You can contact the Dutch Centre, ask a question or provide feedback via the contact form. When using the contact form, we ask you for your name, your email address and of course the comment you want to leave. This information is sent as an email to the Dutch Centre. We use this data to process your comment, answer your question, execute your request or take note of your message to create an overview of the numbers and types of questions we receive. We do not use your name and email address for this.
Donations, Friends, Patrons
You can make a donation to, become a friend or patron of the Dutch Centre via our website. For processing this data, we collect your email address, your name, address, and the amount and frequency of your donation. We will only use your address details for the purpose of Gift Aid.
We use Mollie as a payment service provider. Mollie uses the data you provide to us to process the payment. The privacy policy of Mollie applies to the processing of your payment.
Tickets
When buying tickets, we register your name and email address alonmg with the ticket details. Payments are processed as above by our payment service provider Mollie.

Provision of data to third parties

We will only provide the data you provide to us to third parties if and to the extent that there is a legal obligation to do so or if and to the extent that you have given explicit permission for this.

Security

We protect our data to prevent third parties from gaining access to it without permission. We do this by, among other things:

Access control to management and mail functions of our website. We use passwords for this.

We secure network connections via Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

We limit access to parts of our website and mail functions to those who need this access because of the function they fulfill within the Dutch Centre or the assignment they carry out on behalf of Dutch Centre.

We regularly check the authorizations that have been granted and remove them if the authorizations are no longer necessary for the function that the person fulfills within Dutch Centre or the assignment they have carried out or have carried out on behalf of Dutch Centre.

Retention periods

We retain personal data provided to us for as long as the person maintains an active relationship with Dutch Centre (for example: donor, email correspondence, collaboration, or another active relationship). If the active relationship with Dutch Centre no longer exists, we will not retain the personal data for longer than necessary or legally required. After settlement of all matters arising from the active relationship with Dutch Centre, we will retain your data for a maximum of seven years. If you request that your data be deleted sooner, we will do so if there are no legal or other obstacles to this.

Rights to access, correction and objection
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data upon request. To do so, send an e-mail to info@dutchcentre.com.
